Fabretto Children's Foundation - Nica Night Miami 2011

Fabretto Children’s Foundation is hosting Nica Night Miami on Friday, December 2, 2011. In the name of
supporting the lives of children, and their basic human rights to education and nutrition, we would like to
invite you to participate in the upcoming event.

For more than 50 years, Father Fabretto’s vision to break the cycle of poverty in Nicaragua by providing
children with education has given hope of a better future to thousands of Nicaraguan families. The
Fabretto Children’s Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit that serves approximately 10,000 children and youth
in underserved Nicaraguan communities throughout 6 Fabretto centers and in more than 50 rural schools.
Fabretto programs focus on quality education and nutrition, and the children are provided with school
supplies, a nutritious daily lunch, tutoring, and an array of after-school enrichment programs.

Each year Fabretto hosts events to raise awareness and support for the children and youth of Nicaragua.
These events generate almost a third of the revenue in the U.S. and are only successful in thanks to
supporters like you. Please consider supporting Fabretto this year by becoming an event sponsor,
purchasing tickets, or making a general contribution in honor of thousands of children in Nicaragua.
Together we will deliver basic human rights of education and nutrition to thousands of Nicaraguan
children in need.

Nicaragua is considered the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere with some sobering
statistics. Of Nicaragua’s approximate 6 million inhabitants:
• More than 60% of secondary school-aged children are not attending school;
• Youth under the age of 18 account for more than 50% of the population;
• Approximately 80% of the population lives below the poverty line, which is less than $2 a day.
