Hardwood Flooring Warranty

Residential Prefinisher Hardwood Flooring Limited Warranty & Product Care.

Your floor installation done by a professional is an essential element in the success of your flooring.  Your installer should follow the installation guidelines set forth by N.O.F.M.A and the N.W.F.A. These are industry standards and are available by calling 1-800-422-4556 Make sure your installer has expertise in the specie of solid wood you have selected. Your local dealer should be able to advise you how given specie reacts to your local conditions. Pre-Inspection Requirements. It is the responsibility of the installer/homeowner to inspect each plank prior to installation. Our product is guaranteed to be on grade and free of manufacturing defects prior to installation. If you find a given characteristic objectionable, simply have your installer cut it out during the installation process. Our wood flooring is manufactured in accordance with accepted industry standards which permit a grade/manufacturing defect tolerance not to exceed 5% of product or labor when planks containing defects of any kind have been installed. Minor variations in plank thickness do occur and is normal between planks. The finish is produced by the leading manufacturer of wood finishes in the world and applied in a state of the art application facility. The finish industry is in a constant state of innovation. They continue to make great strides every year in durability, scratch resistance and environmental friendliness. Our finish is one of the thickest in the flooring industry to provide you with years of protection from stains due to
spills and wear.

Caring for your Hardwood Floor is not difficult. Abrasive products, natural or man made, will damage your floor. Dry mop your floor regularly to remove loose dirt or before it can scratch your floor. Wipe up spills as quickly as possible. Never wet mop your hardwood floor. Use non-abrasive cleaners that do not contain oils, waxes or phosphates. Your hardwood dealer or installer can suggest products available in your local area. Protective pads should be used between the bottom of furniture and the floor. Entry mats at doorways should be used to catch dirt before being tracked on the door.

Movement in the Flooring is a normal occurrence with seasonal changes. In summer, when the humidity is higher, the floor will expand. This can cause cupping and crowning. In the winter, when humidity is lower, the floor will contract. This normal expansion and contraction is not a defect. To maintain the best performance of your wood floors, use humidification to maintain humidity at 45% to 55%.
